St.Patricks Day Craft Mania

I told all of you I need to craft or die so don't complain about all the crafting posts! Just kidding, of course. No one has complained...yet. I promise I will find some interesting things to blog about when I...finally get a life. Until then though look at what Gage and me crafted for St. Patricks day. We did a fun&cute kids project but also I did a very simple project that even you non crafty people can do to add a little St. Patty's in your life(other than green beer!).

Simple Clover - adult project or older kiddos
Materials:
3 Green Pipe Cleaners
1 white pipe cleaner/or a white piece of ribbon

Step 1: Take one pipe cleaner and make it into a shape of a heart. The heart won't be as big as the whole pipe cleaner. There should be a tail left to it for the stem. Wrap the other(not the stem) around the stem to close it.
Step 2: Repeat the first step 2 more times except this time don't leave a tail but make the hearts around the same size. Don't wrap the ends together until the next step.
Step 3: Once you have 3 hearts you can start putting them together. Take the heart#1(with the stem) and then take heart #2 and wrap your end pieces around the tail of heart #1. The heart should be on the side because remember you are making a clover!

Step 4: Repeat step 3 but using heart #3.
Step 5: Twist a little bit of the white pipe cleaner around heart#1 leaving a long white pipe cleaner.
Step 6: With the white pipe cleaner attached just bend the white pipe cleaner so it will stay on to a doorknob or whatev you want to attach it to.

Done!

This project can be done in about 5 minutes. Its perfect for the crafty and non-crafty alike.

Blarney Stones

'Tis there's the stone that whoever kisses
He never misses to grow eloquent;
'Tis he may clamber to a lady's chamber,
Or become a member of Parliament.
"A noble spouter he'll sure turn out, or
An out and outer to be let alone;
Don't try to hinder him, or to bewilder him,
For he is a pilgrim from the Blarney stone."

Materials:
Rocks
Green paint
paintbrush
googly eyes(optional)
pom-pom balls(optional)

Step 1: Paint your rocks green!
Step 2: After the paint has dried glue or paint on eyes.
Step 3: Add hair.

Done!

We are calling this our 'good luck' rock.

BTW; Gage's rocks have all the eyes on it&then the one eyed rock. my rocks have the pom-poms for hair! I don't know why but Gage loved eyes this time!

This is also going to be my unplugged project of the week.

Good Luck=Happy
