Potty Training Success!

I've waited a few weeks to say that potty training is a success for Gage. I was a little scared to make it official because the last time I did that he refused to continue on and was back in diapers. I think we are over that now. My big boy has been using the potty for about 3 weeks now!

It has been interesting. Its my first time having to deal with potty training(well other than myself but I don't remember that :p ). On top of just potty training in general but potty training a boy! Boy, has it been interesting...

Last night Gage was sitting in my lap. I got really sad that there wasn't a cushy little diaper butt sitting on me anymore. Diaper butts are adorable. He isn't my little baby anymore. It made me think about how big he is now. I can't even believe it.

I'm glad the diapers are done with., though!

Success!

  1. Yay! Send me all your secrets! I remember feeling that L wasn't a baby anymore when I weaned him from nursing three weeks ago. My heart was really, really sad. Sigh, our babies are becoming little boys!

  2. But I think you are going to enjoy the fact that you are not spending all that money on diapers any more! Though you'll find something else to spend that money on....

  3. Congrats! Braden was on and off at 2 then I gave up and just said "He'll go when he's ready" then one day he took off his diaper and went pee in the potty and said "Mommy, I don't want diapers anymore" and then I was so relieved! He does wear pullups at bedtime though.
